David A. Steinberg, Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Prior to founding CAIVIS and XL Marketing, Mr. Steinberg founded InPhonic, the largest seller of wireless phones and communications products and services on the Internet, with annual revenue in excess of $400 million. InPhonic was #1 on Inc. 500 list of fastest growing companies in 2004, the year it went public on the NASDAQ. Mr. Steinberg also served as chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Cellular, a B2B and retail wireless communications provider, and Sterling Communications, a communications telemarketing company. Mr. Steinberg was named the Greater Washington Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for communications in 2002. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Faster Cures of the Milken Institute, the Greater Washington Sports Alliance, and the Board of Trustees of Washington & Jefferson College and previously served on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Steinberg holds a B.S. from Washington & Jefferson College.
MICHAEL DIMAIO, XL MARKETING CORP., PRESIDENT
Prior to forming Spire Vision, LLC, Michael DiMaio spent several years as SVP and partner of TranzAct Media. During that time, he forged relationships with the largest publishers and advertisers in the online space, and built ongoing campaigns for Sprint, BMG, Matchmaker and many others. His vision and leadership helped TranzAct become a leading provider of online marketing solutions. Prior to co-founding TranzAct, Mike developed a prominent reputation in the online space as a Sales Manager for Freeride.com, a leading online marketing and loyalty site. Mike managed a small sales force, responsible for a significant percent of the company's online sales. Before joining Freeride, Mike worked in Finance for Quick & Reilly Investments and Alliance Capital, earning the Series 7, 63 & 65 licenses. Mr. DiMaio holds a B.S. from Boston College.
Christopher Spring, Chief Financial Officer
Co-founder of Integral Financial Group, Mr. Spring joined CAIVIS Acquisition Corp in 2009. Previously Mr. Spring served as the SVP-Divisional CFO at InPhonic Inc., where he was responsible for accounting, inventory, billing operations, and Sarbanes-Oxley implementation functions, as well as integrating accounting systems of acquired companies and many aspects of InPhonicís successful IPO. Prior to joining InPhonic, Mr. Spring held various industry and independent contractor positions including leading a 10-person consulting team at MCI Inc. during its successful financial restatement in 2004 and served in senior financial management positions at ER Labs, GPC Systems Inc., Equant Inc., and Excel Holdings Inc. Previously Mr. Spring held various positions in public accounting, specializing in audits of small businesses, non-profits, and state and local government agencies. Mr. Spring holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Radford University and is a licensed CPA in Virginia. He is an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Steven Gerber, President
Mr. Gerber is the former chief operating officer of Active Response Group, where he led the day-to-day management and the turnaround efforts of the company until its assets were acquired by XL Marketing in 2009. Mr. Gerber came to ARG from TRANZACT, LLC, one of the leading customer acquisition companies in the US, where he worked with leading brands such as Verizon, Prudential, The NY Times, Sirius Satellite Radio and Humana. Mr. Gerber was a co-founder and COO of HotSocket Inc. a pioneer in performance-based online marketing. He has also worked at Digitas Inc. and Bain & Co. Mr. Gerber holds a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from Columbia University.
Eric Neuner, Division President, Mail & Media
Prior to founding Spire Vision, LLC, President Eric Neuner spent several years managing search engine, partnership and affiliate marketing programs for WebMD. He now shares his expertise with clients such as eMusic for various search projects. On numerous occasions, Eric presented at Search Engine Strategies, the largest search engine marketing conference in the world, on topics such as "Ad Management Case Studies" and "Paid Inclusion & Trusted Feeds." While working at WebMD, Eric leveraged search and affiliate strategies to acquire thousands of physicians for Medscape and millions of consumers for WebMD Health content and subscription services. Prior to WebMD, Eric negotiated and managed strategic partnerships with AOL and MSN for CDNOW/Bertelsmann AG. Mr. Neuner holds a B.S. from Cornell University.
DAN SOMMER, DIVISION PRESIDENT, SOCIAL MEDIA
Prior to joining XL Marketing in connection to its acquisition of Caridan Marketing Labs, a leading social media and interactive marketing agency he founded in 2007, Dan served as SVP at HNW, a strategic marketing firm focused on the affluent segment, where he built the firm's direct and interactive marketing capability. Prior to HNW, Dan worked at Digitas Inc. where he led online marketing and web development efforts for American Express. Prior to Digitas, he served as Vice President at Zustek, an interactive marketing agency acquired by Zeta Interactive, where he developed and implemented email marketing programs for Fortune 500 companies. Dan was Co-Founder and COO of SimplyDone Business Solutions, an enterprise software and consulting firm that sold a unique CRM application to large service-based franchise businesses. He began his career at Sapient Corporation, an interactive marketing agency and ecommerce consultancy. Dan has an MS from NYU and a BS in Applied Economics and Business Management from Cornell University.
Geoffrey Mott, Vice President of Strategy
Prior to joining CAIVIS Acquisition Corporation, Mr. Mott was a Senior Director at InPhonic where he held various roles in operations, information technology, customer experience & service, distribution and quality assurance. Prior to InPhonic, Mr. Mott served as Regional Director of Sales and Director of Operations for Sterling Cellular and Director of Operations and Information Services at Sterling Communications.
Phong Tran, Vice President of Operations
Prior to joining CAIVIS Acquisition Corporation in 2008, Mr. Tran was a Director at InPhonic where he was responsible for the customer experience at InPhonic's web properties. His primary responsibility was to drive traffic through the purchase process by understanding consumer behavior, applying Search Engine Optimization, and publishing InPhonic's newsletters. Before InPhonic, Mr. Tran was responsible for integrating clients with the business-to-business exchange hosted by ICG Commerce in Philadelphia. Mr. Tran holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
